Fawn Photos - Can You Handle the Cute?

Mother Nature gave me a fuzzy gift on the evening before May Day.

I was out on one of my nature walks out back. And I spooked a female deer who was lying down in the grass. After she ran off I noticed a floppy looking brown creature with spindly legs briefly stand up and then decide to flop back down in the grass.

I carefully walked up closer to take a peek.

Look what I found snuzzled down in the grass, waiting for her mummy to come back and get her?

"See? I'm hiding just like my mummy taught me to do!"

The next morning the doe and her fawn had left.

The fawn was about twelve inches long and cute as can be! Totally made my day. Or maybe - my year. Freshly hatched fawn! It doesn't get any better than that!
